Anne Marie Shaughnessy, a graduate of the M.A. Linguistics:TESOL program, was recently granted a U.S. Fulbright Scholarship as an English Teaching Assistant in the country of Colombia. Ms. Shaughnessy is very excited to begin her work in Colombia this summer, and the Applied Linguistics faculty send her off with very best wishes!

Adrianne Spoto, a 2017 graduate with a French minor, will pursue her J.D. at New York University School of Law. She is planning to focus on constitutional and civil rights law. Congratulations Adrianna!
ERIC WILLIAMS WILL JOIN THE PEACE CORPS!
Eric Williams, a 2017 graduate with a French minor, will join the Peace Corps as a Health Extension Volunteer in Benin, a French-speaking country in west Africa. His primary goals will be centered on improving maternal, neonatal and child heath with a focus on nutrition and disease prevention. Eric will be there for 27 months, after which he plans to return to the US and attend medical school. Good luck Eric!

Laura Badertscher has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program English Teaching
Assistantship (ETA) grant to Germany
The Fulbright ETA program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of
Educational and Cultural Affairs. An Honors College student, Badertscher graduated
from 新澳门六合彩内幕信息in May 2011 with a BA in German Language and Literature, a BA in International
Studies and a minor in Economics. She will spend nine months teaching English in Germany.
Badertscher has always been fascinated with German society and has devoted much of
her studies to learning the language, history and culture.

FRANCIS HOGSTON SERVES IN THE PEACE CORPS IN MADAGASCAR
BA French graduate Francis Hogston is currently serving in the Peace Corps in Madagascar as of June 2015. He is serving in Mahasoabe, Madagascar as a TEFL secondary teacher for 27 months and also completing secondary projects which include public health, gender equality, and malaria prevention.
