Leading businesswomen coming to USF

Tampa, FL (January 15, 2013) — Nearly two dozen of the world's top women in business will be coming to USF's Muma College of Business February 26 to share their expertise with аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢students in a series of of breakout sessions highlighting the positive aspects of a business career.

The Committee of 200 is an invitation-only organization of leading women in business dedicated to fostering growth and increasing opportunities for women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders worldwide. Through targeted outreach and support to future leaders, like the upcoming C200 Reachout event at USF, the C200 Foundation also helps to ensure that women will continue to take more significant and visible leadership roles in businesses worldwide.

"We are thrilled to have such high-profile business leaders coming to аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢to share their knowledge with our students," Muma College of Business Dean Moez Limayem said. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to pick the brains of women who are setting the agenda in the business world."

During the one-day event, C200 members spend a day participating in panels, roundtable discussions, and networking with the students to encourage them to pursue leadership careers in business. Students help to design the curriculum for the day so that it responds to the issues that are most pressing as they ponder their post-MBA careers.

Together, C200's 400-plus members, drawn from the highest ranks of women executives in successful private and public companies, represent more than 100 industries in the United States, Europe, Asia, Canada and Latin America. C200 members employ more than 2.5 million people and generate more than $200 billion in annual revenues.

At reachout events across the nation, C200 presents women in MBA programs with $10,000 scholarships. MBA students at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢were given the opportunity to apply for these scholarships earlier this month. Finalists will be interviewed soon, and the awardees will be announced at the event in February.
