Muma Researchers Ranked Among Top 2% in World by Stanford University

TAMPA (November 10, 2021) 鈥 A study by Stanford University has placed six 新澳门六合彩内幕信息Muma College of Business faculty among the top 2% of scientists in the world. The elite ranking is based on their career-long impact in their fields of study.

Another five Muma College of Business faculty were recognized in the Stanford rankings for making a single-year impact in 2020 based on research citation metrics and other factors, bringing the college鈥檚 single-year total in 2020 to 10 faculty members.

鈥淭his is an impressive list. The strong showing by the Muma College of Business faculty demonstrates the broad scientific impact our research is making. I congratulate everyone who has been included,鈥 said GJ de Vreede, associate dean at the Muma College of Business.

The rankings come from a Stanford University database of over 100,000 top scientists in the world. The compilation tracks standardized information on citation metrics and other factors that measure the impact of a researcher鈥檚 work.

For their career-long impact, the following six Muma College of Business faculty were recognized:

  • Tom Becker, a professor of management in the School of Information Systems and Management, ranked No. 662 in the field of business and management. Becker was ranked No. 466 for a single-year impact in 2020.

  • Anol Bhattacherjee, the Exide Professor of Business Ethics, came in at No. 12 in the field of information systems. Bhattacherjee, who teaches in the School of Information Systems and Management, also made the single-year list at No. 8 for 2020.

  • Erwin Danneels, an associate professor of management in the School of Marketing and Innovation, ranked No. 600 in the field of business and management. Danneels made the list at No. 325 for research impact in 2020.

  • Alan Hevner, a Distinguished University Professor and Eminent Scholar in the School of Information Systems and Management, made the list at No. 165 in the field of information systems. For 2020, Hevner was ranked No. 166.

  • , an adjunct distinguished professor in the Muma College of Business, who is also a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息Department of Psychology, ranked No. 10 in the field of business and management. Spector was also ranked No. 16 for a single-year impact in 2020.

  • GJ de Vreede, the associate dean for research and professional programs, ranked No. 296 in the field of information systems.

Other single-year research honorees for 2020 include:

  • Faizan Ali, an associate professor of hospitality in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, ranked No. 51 in the field of sport, leisure, and tourism.

  • Dipayan Biswas, the Frank Harvey Endowed Professor of Marketing in the School of Marketing and Innovation, ranked No. 480 in the field of marketing.

  • Diana Hechavarria, an associate professor of entrepreneurship in the School of Marketing and Innovation, came in at No. 1,562 in the field of business and management for 2020.

  • Dejun `Tony鈥 Kong, an associate professor of management in the School of Information Systems and Management, made the list at No. 952 in the field of social psychology.

  • Sunil Mithas, a World Class Scholar and professor in the School of Information Systems and Management, was ranked No. 225 in the field of information systems.
