I am a first year PhD student in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University
of South Florida. I have completed Bachelors and Masters in Audiology and Speech Language
Pathology from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, India. After completing my education,
I worked as a consultant speech language pathologist across all age groups in clinical
and hospital setups in India for few years. My Masters dissertation was based on Acoustic
and Perceptual Characteristics of Voice in patients with Parkinson鈥檚 disease before
and after dopamine medication. Voice disorders and the characteristics of voice, in
professional voice users, neurogenic disorders are my areas of interest. I am currently
working with Dr. Anand in the Speech Motor Systems lab on precision assessment of
dysphonia through listener鈥檚 perception of voice quality.
