Karyn Pingel is the Speech Pathology Section Chief at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, FL. During the last 24 years, Ms. Pingel has served as both a clinical and research Speech-Language Pathologist, as well as the Clinical Training Director. Her specialties include Polytrauma/Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury and Disease (MS, ALS, etc.), ventilator and tracheostomy, as well as post cerebral vascular accident diagnostics/treatment. She is passionate about working with people with aphasia and helping them learn to communicate successfully and get back to doing the things that are important to them.
