Howard Goldstein, PhD; Amy Gierhahn, MA; Jack Drobisz, PhD; Marie Sepulveda, MS, CCC-SLP; Dasha Rhodes, PhD, LMSW; and Michelle Arnold, AuD, PhD, served as judges at the 2024 Hillsborough Regional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Fair in the Tampa Convention Center.
The judges reviewed posters in the behavioral and social sciences category and discussed each poster with its presenter. Judges visited all the posters in their category, rated them, and then reconvened to discuss their ratings and determine which student posters are worthy of the CBCS-sponsored and other awards.
The event, hosted by Hillsborough County Public Schools, gave students the opportunity to share their projects with topic matter experts and gain fundamental learning experiences.
Judges of the fair played an important role in selection of twenty-six projects that will represent Hillsborough County in the 2024 Florida State Science and Engineering Fair, where over $200,000 worth of scholarships and awards will be provided to students.
