Speech-language pathology students collaborate with physical therapy students

SLP students give a presentation on thickening liquids

Speech-language pathology students give a presentation on thickening liquids.

Second-year speech-language pathology (SLP) and doctorate of physical therapy faculty and students participated in an interprofessional lab and discussion to better understand how the two professions align.

The SLP students participated in case discussion and were able to learn more about the purpose and rationale for physical therapy. They also gave presentations on the practice areas they address. Assistant Instructor Kelli Gorajec, MA, CCC-SLP, initiated and set up this learning experience for the students.
