CSD students learn from individuals living with dysphonia

CSD students and dysphonia international representatives

Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders students gather with the guest speakers for a photo.

Representatives from Dysphonia International shared their experiences of living with a voice disorder with Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) students last week. The speakers have either adductor or abductor spasmodic dysphonia and gave their perspective on what speech-language pathologists can do to best serve these patients.

The guest speakers visited the voice disorders class taught by Alexandra E. Brandimore, PhD, CCC/SLP.
