Grading Option Offered for Spring Semester 2020 (3/25)

Dear students,

The leadership at the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ understands how stressful the disruptions to this semester have been for you, and we have heard your concerns about your grades. To alleviate some of your stress during this time of uncertainty, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢is giving you the option to take your spring 2020 semester classes with a satisfactory or unsatisfactory (pass/fail) grade.

Beginning March 30 at 7:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. on April 24, 2020*, you will be able to submit your election for a satisfactory/unsatisfactory grade on a course-by-course basis. During this time, visit the Current Student Toolkit to review and complete the online form, and for full information about this initiative. Once elected, the S/U grading option cannot be reversed.

To give you some time to consider your options, the class withdrawal date has been extended to April 3. Likewise, the first day for summer and fall class registration has been pushed back from March 30 to April 6.

Please note, the S/U grading option or class withdrawal may not be the best choice for you academically and/or financially due to current and future academic program requirements, financial benefits, scholarship requirements, etc. If you have withdrawn from a course, completed a course, audited a course, or are enrolled in a course that cannot be graded on a pass/fail basis, you will not be able to request this grading option.

I encourage you to be very thoughtful as you make this decision. аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢responded to this request from our students as part of our commitment to giving you every opportunity to succeed, especially in this time of uncertainty. The combination of your talents, this option, and the resources and support offered by our departments and colleges will help you navigate this semester successfully.

Go, Bulls!

* Please note that the original deadline of April 10 has been extended to April 24, 2020.
