Dear аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Community,
As we end this semester, I want to express my appreciation for your ongoing efforts to manage the unprecedented challenges of this year’s public health pandemic. Navigating the prolonged and uncertain nature of the crisis and its disruptions to daily life has – and continues – to take a toll on each of us.
Many among the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢community are experiencing loss of family, colleagues and friends due to complications of COVID-19. On behalf of our university community, I extend my deepest condolences and encourage you to rely on the strength of community for support during this difficult time. Resources specific to COVID-19 are available through the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Human Resources website and through our Employee Assistance Program provided by (1-800-327-8705).
Although there is much cause for hope on the horizon, the prevalence of infection is rising. This means that we must remain vigilant in our commitment to following health and safety guidelines to reduce risk of exposure.
May we continue to find strength and hope through community.
Sincerely,
Steven C. Currall
President and Professor
