TAMPA, Fla. – Nominations are now open for the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ (USF) College of Education's Distinguished Alumni Awards for the 2020-21 school year.
Each year, the College of Education is proud to present three alumni awards to recognize the outstanding achievements of graduates who have made a positive impact in the field of education.
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of the university are welcome to nominate alumni of the College of Education for these prestigious awards. The nomination process will remain open until March 22, 2021.
The criteria for each of the three awards is listed below.
Dean's Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award
The recipient of the Dean's Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award is recognized as a community member who has demonstrated long-term contributions, achievement and service within education or a related profession — on a local, state, regional, national and/or global level.
Spirit of Partnership Alumni Award
The Spirit of Partnership Alumni Award recognizes an individual who graduated from the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢College of Education and has created and sustained partnerships within the community and the College to promote transformative education.
Young Educator Alumni Award
The Young Educator Alumni Award was created in 2017 to recognize graduates of the College of Education who serve as exemplary leaders in the field of education among their peers and in their communities. Nominees must be graduates of the University of South Florida from within the last 10 years and be 35 years of age or younger.
A committee including faculty, staff and alumni of the College of Education will select the recipients. Nominees will be notified in April 2021 of their selection as award recipients. All award winners will be recognized during Teacher Appreciation Week and at an awards ceremony tentatively planned for Fall 2021.
