Alexandra Panos, Ph.D., assistant professor of literacy studies and director of research for the Center for Climate Literacy at the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢College of Education was awarded a $50,000 Spencer Foundation Small Research Grant, along with Co-PIs Michael Sherry, Ph.D., associate professor in English Education and Jarod Roselló, Ph.D., associate professor in Creative Writing.

The RISE Caribbean Educational Research Conference was co-hosted last week from May 30 – June 1, by the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ and the University of the West Indies Cave Hill at the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢College of Education Tampa campus and the Patel Center for Global Solutions. Researchers from the Caribbean, across the U.S., as well as faculty from the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢College of Education presented on the topic of Building Solidarity Across Educational Communities: Cultivating Spaces Where Students Thrive.
