Research Initiative for Supporting Education (RISE) is a project that launched a new interdisciplinary educational research center, Caribbean Educational Research Center (CERC) to support education policy development and timely decision-making on issues impacting schools in the Caribbean. Faculty from аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢and UWI collaborate on professional development activities, research design and building a cross-cultural mentorship network.

аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢College of Education professors Ilene R. Berson, PhD, and Michael J. Berson, PhD, were selected to participate in the Association of Teacher Educators inaugural Inquiry Initiative. The initiative is a first-of-its-kind collaborative exploration of teacher education practices and research focused on opportunity gaps in education.

College of Education welcomes Luis R. Visot as new Assistant Dean of Administration and Innovation
The College of Education welcomes Luis R. Visot as the college’s new assistant dean of administration and innovation. In this newly created role, Visot will manage internal administrative activities and external innovation projects on behalf of the Dean. He will also provide leadership, oversight and guidance for new initiatives and projects of high importance and engage faculty and staff in identifying opportunities to implement effective improvements and responses.
