Randi Latzke is a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Learning at the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢. She earned her doctoral degree from the University of Florida in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Curriculum, Teaching, and Teacher Education.
Dr. Latzke's work centers on helping pre-service teachers to make strong connections between their coursework and their field experiences. Her research interests focus on pre-service teachers’ enactment of culturally-responsive classroom practices, equity-based processes for supporting underrepresented student groups in undergraduate elementary education programs, and utilizing school district and university partnerships to strengthen the ability of first-year teachers to successfully create and manage equitable classroom environments for vulnerable students.
