Biography
Dr. Dewey Rundus is a Professor Emeritus. His educational background includes a BS degree in Mathematics (1966) from the University of California, Davis, a PhD in Experimental Psychology (1971) from Stanford University, and an MS degree in Computer Engineering (1985) from the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 (USF) in Tampa, FL. Following a Postdoctoral position at The Rockefeller University, Dr. Rundus came to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息where he was a member of the faculty in the Department of Psychology for 15 years. Following a sabbatical year spent at NASA Ames Research Center, Dr. Rundus returned to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息and joined the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) faculty.
He has been recognized for his outstanding teaching at both the College and University levels and has served administratively as Undergraduate Program Director, Associate Chairman in the Department, and Deputy Director of the National Institute for Applied Computational Intelligence (NIACI) in the College of Engineering.
Research Interests
His research interests focus on the interaction between a computer system and its human user. Under this broad umbrella, Dr. Rundus and his students have explored such topics as geographical information systems, object oriented databases, software reuse, usability testing, medical device interfaces, and WEB site architectures.
