Ryan Tang, third-year medical student at the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息Health Morsani College of Medicine, recently received a 2024 Alpha Omega Alpha Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship.
Tang is the fourth MCOM student since 2018 to receive the fellowship award.
Tang received the award for his research focusing on the presentation and prognosis of patients with leptomeningeal disease, a late-stage cancer metastasis based on their primary cancer. 鈥淭his award is a culmination of support and mentorship from Dr. Matthew Mills, who has helped me tremendously in undertaking this research project,鈥 Tang said. 鈥淎s an aspiring clinician-scientist, it has been amazing working on projects researching solutions in improving and individualizing patient care. With this award, I hope to utilize the financial and professional support to broaden my experiences and continue to investigate relevant research questions.
