Surprise celebration honors Tampa Bay philanthropists Carol and Frank Morsani
The enduring impact Frank and Carol Morsani have had in the Tampa Bay area and beyond was commemorated in a joint show of appreciation hosted by representatives from USF, the University of Tampa, Moffitt Cancer Center and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts – institutions the Morsanis have supported over the years.

Tallahassee was glistening in green and gold as more than 100 students, alumni and leaders from USF’s three campuses convened for аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Day at the Capitol. The annual gathering coincides with the current legislative session and allows Bulls to rally support for university priorities while lawmakers provide a glimpse into the democratic process.

The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ seeks to strengthen the support and services it provides to veterans, military-connected students and first responders through a new request for funding in this year’s legislative session. The funds would lead to new or upgraded Office of Veteran Success facilities on all three аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢campuses, benefitting thousands of students.

Researchers at the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ have released findings from a nationwide survey that measures attitudes related to key election issues. The survey, sponsored by Cyber Florida at USF, addresses how Americans feel about topics including inflation, the impact of politics on voters’ mental health and social media usage.
