аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢is stepping up to support the Tampa Bay community in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Through initiatives such as the Tampa Bay Strong campaign, the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Medical Response Unit and the Community Emergency Response Team, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢is helping residents recover and rebuild.

The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee campuses have reopened. In light of ongoing recovery efforts, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢will reschedule Homecoming Week activities and the on-campus stadium groundbreaking ceremony that were planned for this week.

A team of researchers led by аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢St. Petersburg GIS and Remote Sensing Professor Barnali Dixon used the CRIS-HAZARD app to analyze real-time flooding in Pinellas County. The web-based application gathers crowdsourced data to identify flooding and inform policy in vulnerable coastal communities.
