Colleges and Deans

Arts and Sciences

Dean: Dr. Elizabeth Spiller – The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢and is home to the School of Humanities, the School of Social Sciences and the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Behavioral and Community Sciences

Dean: Dr. Julie Serovich – The College of Behavioral and Community Sciences prepares students to improve the quality of life, health and safety of diverse populations. It is home to one of the country's largest behavioral health research and training institutes.

Business

Dean: Dr. David Blackwell – The Muma College of Business prepares students to take leadership positions in business and society. Since 2008, the college's graduate entrepreneurship program has been ranked among the top 25 in the nation by the Princeton Review.

Education

Dean: Dr. R. Anthony Rolle – As the home for more than 2,200 students and 130 faculty members across three campuses, the College of Education offers state-of-the-art teacher training and collegial graduate studies designed to empower educational leaders.

Engineering

Acting Dean: Dr. Sanjukta Bhanja – The College of Engineering provides a high-quality educational experience for students and practicing professionals and is a leader in innovative research in the areas of sustainability, renewable energy and biomedical engineering.

Global Sustainability

Dean: Dr. Govindan Parayil – The Patel College of Global Sustainability prepares students to address complex regional, national and global challenges in sustainability and the ability to innovate in diverse cultural, geographic and demographic contexts.

Graduate Studies

Dean: Dr. Ruth Huntley Bahr – The Office of Graduate Studies provides a wide range of services designed to enhance the graduate student experience. In addition, it provides a home for interdisciplinary programs offered at the graduate level.

Judy Genshaft Honors College

Dean: Dr. Charles Adams – The Judy Genshaft Honors College provides motivated students an exciting experience and productive learning environment that combines the advantages of a small, highly personalized college with the resources of a major research institution.

Marine Science

Dean: Thomas K. Frazer – The College of Marine Science is one of the top ten marine science programs in the nation. Our mission is to advance understanding of ocean systems and human-ocean interactions using a cross-disciplinary approach, to empower the next workforce of the blue economy with a world-class education, and to share our passion for a healthy environment and science-informed decision-making with audiences near and far.

The Arts

Dean: Chris Garvin – The College of The Arts provides an immersive scholarly, artistic and technical environment for tomorrow’s leaders in architecture, community design, art, art history, music, theatre and dance. It is also home to the Institute for Research in Art, comprised of the Contemporary Art Museum and Graphic studio.

Undergraduate Studies

Dean: Allison Crume – The Office of Undergraduate Studies works in partnership with the academic colleges in the development, review and enhancement of the undergraduate programs to assist faculty to provide outstanding undergraduate education for students.

Dean: Todd Chavez – The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Libraries offers access to over 1.3 million books and an extensive selection of print and electronic resources, including 52,000 e-journal subscriptions, 443,000 e-books, and over 800 databases containing articles, media, and other materials. Students also have access to our collections of audio/visual materials including videos, CDs, DVDs, and even LPs.
