Spring 2023 Undergraduate Research Conference Showcase

Undergraduate Research

April 2023

The 2023 Undergraduate Research Conference is almost here! On Friday, April 7th, the selected students will showcase their innovative research at the Tampa campus. For months, they have been working with their mentors to create a well-crafted presentation that explores the intricacies of their field.

Every year, this event gives students an opportunity to offer their perspectives on a topic of their choosing and work with faculty staff to discover what research is all about. There are endless benefits derived from this experience. Professionally, students can expand their network and gain marketable skills to help them in their graduate or career journey. Some of these skills include self-confidence, leadership, independence, and readiness for more demanding research. In addition, the event helps presenters foster invaluable mentor-student relationships and provides a safe space to disseminate their discoveries. In developing their work, students also learn about research design, data collection, information literacy, and communication.
