Academic Probation
Academic Probation is a tool used to warn students and advisors about a decline in a student's academic performance. At USF, academic probation is triggered by a student's 新澳门六合彩内幕信息GPA. The goal is to assist students in making necessary changes to successfully complete their courses on their first attempt, which will save students both time and money.
What to Expect
At the end of the semester, 新澳门六合彩内幕信息students whose 新澳门六合彩内幕信息GPA falls below 2.0 will be placed on academic probation. When placed on academic probation, students receive an "AP" hold which will prevent any registration changes. In order to have the AP hold removed and make adjustments to your schedule, CAS students will need to meet with their academic advisor.
Continuing at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息while on Academic Probation
Each term a student continues on academic probation, the student will receive a new "AP" hold. They will need to meet with their advisor each term to have the AP hold removed. The purpose of meeting with an academic advisor is to ensure future semester registration is planned appropriately - ideally setting up the student to be successful and back into good academic standing as soon as possible.
Students who are on academic probation and do not take classes at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息for three consecutive semesters will be required to return to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息through the Academic Renewal process.
Academic Dismissal
新澳门六合彩内幕信息students on academic probation are required to earn a semester GPA of at least 2.0 each semester. If a student on probation earns a semester GPA below 2.0, the student is academically dismissed from 新澳门六合彩内幕信息and dropped from any future term registration at USF.
Students who are academically dismissed from 新澳门六合彩内幕信息have the opportunity to return to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息through the Academic Renewal process.
