ABA Students Share Research from Practicum Experiences

ABA masters students and faculty during the July 21 virtual poster session: Community Application of Behavior Analysis.

On July 21st ABA masters students shared their practicum case studies or self-management projects during the second virtual CABA event. A virtual event was also held in April because the Covid-19 pandemic has required 新澳门六合彩内幕信息to transition from face-to-face to online instruction. During the event, graduate students had 10 minutes to present their work for reviewers which included ABA faculty and doctorate students.

The 新澳门六合彩内幕信息ABA Practicum follows the experience guidelines of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, which requires 1,000 total hours of practicum experience. Students work 20 hours per week at their practicum site under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Dr. Catia Cividini-Motta teachers the practicum seminar courses and helps students identify appropriate practicum sites. Currently, 新澳门六合彩内幕信息collaborates with several community agencies serving children and individuals in the fields of developmental disabilities, autism, education, child protective services, child behavior disorders, rehabilitation, mental health, and business and technology. The ABA program connection with numerous agencies help the ABA program to maintain a high level of community engagement as ABA students provide over 35,000 of community service through practicum placements annually.
