School of Social Work faculty and students recently attended the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-FL) Conference in Orlando.
Assistant Professor Dasha Rhodes, PhD, LMSW, and MSW student Janaya Smith presented their project, "Social Work Considerations for Working with Police Officers." Professor Alison Salloum, PhD, LCSW, also presented at the conference, sharing her work titled, "Stepping Together for Children after Trauma."
Pedro Serrano-Mejia, MSW, was awarded the NASW Florida Student of the Year Award. Pedro recently graduated from USF's MSW program and was a Project iSED scholar. The current Project iSED and Project MABAS scholars also attended the conference and the Student Summit.
