ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

To be admitted into the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息students should:

  • Complete most, if not all, of the general education requirements and be classified as a junior status at USF
  • Be in good academic standing at USF
  • Officially declare the social work major through the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息College of Behavioral and Community Sciences at /cbcs/undergraduate/major-minor-declaration-change.aspx
  • Complete SOW3203, Introduction to Social Work, with a minimum of a 鈥淏鈥 grade (no 鈥淏-鈥)
  • Complete all prerequisite coursework listed below with a minimum of a 鈥淐鈥 grade (no 鈥淐-鈥)

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Students can apply to start at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息during any semester, however, social work major cohorts will begin their coursework in either fall or spring semesters. For information on 新澳门六合彩内幕信息admissions criteria, deadlines, and how to apply please visit the Office of Admissions: /admissions/. The BSW Program is a full time, lock-step structured program with two different modalities: an in-person cohort which takes their coursework through the Tampa campus and an online cohort which takes their coursework through the Sarasota-Manatee campus. When applying through the Office of Admissions, please make sure to select the appropriate campus for the program modality you wish to pursue.

Incoming freshman students can select the social work major on their 新澳门六合彩内幕信息admissions application. Once admitted, students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor once per semester to keep on track with their general education requirements and social work prerequisites and begin the social work major their junior year after they meet the above outlined admissions criteria.

Incoming transfer students are encouraged to make an academic advising appointment as a prospective student before applying to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息to ensure their coursework will transfer. Once ready to apply, transfer students can select the social work major on their 新澳门六合彩内幕信息admissions application. Students who meet the above outlined admissions criteria will begin the social work major upon admissions. Students who do not meet the admissions criteria yet will work with an academic advisor to complete it and then begin the social work major upon completion.
