The 新澳门六合彩内幕信息President has the ability to bestow three distinct awards during a Commencement ceremony. These awards are among the highest awards recognized by the University. These awards include the Distinguished Citizen Award, Global Leadership Award, and the President鈥檚 Fellow Medallion.

Distinguished Citizen Award

This award was established in 1974 to be presented from time to time to a U.S. Citizen (usually a Floridian) who has rendered distinguished public service to the people of Florida, particularly to the people of the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息service area.

Global Leadership Award

This award is presented at the President鈥檚 discretion to individuals who have achieved exemplary accomplishments in international leadership or global relations. The award is the highest international recognition the University bestows. The award was established in 2006, the University鈥檚 50th anniversary year.

Honorary Degrees

These degrees are awarded at the President鈥檚 discretion to meritorious individuals. The Faculty Senate Honors and Awards Council reviews all nominations and submits their recommendations to the full Faculty Senate for approval. If approved, the nominees go to the president for final approval.

Student Awards at Commencement 

King O'Neal Scholar Award

The 新澳门六合彩内幕信息Alumni Association awards the King O鈥橬eal Scholars Award every semester to those students completing their undergraduate coursework with a 4.0 GPA. The award was created in honor of charter 新澳门六合彩内幕信息graduates Lucas King and Evelyn O鈥橬eal. King O鈥橬eal Scholars receive special individual recognition at Commencement by the university President and the Alumni Association Chair. Each scholar receives a certificate recognizing their accomplishment and a medallion of the University seal. Please visit the for more details.

Outstanding Graduate Award

Every Spring semester the university selects an exemplary undergraduate student to receive the . This student is one who embodies leadership, school spirit, academic excellence, community involvement and a love for USF.

The Outstanding Graduate is selected by the Office of the Provost and Student Success, and is honored with individual recognition by the university President at Commencement.
