What can I do with a PhD?

Our program prepares individuals who aspire to become university professors at the college level, within school districts, local, state, national , or international agencies. , Graduates of our program acquire the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to assume roles as leaders, advocates, and scholars in the development and implementation of high quality and innovative elementary education practices.

How long will the program take to complete?

Course work must be completed within four years of admission into the program. The dissertation must be completed within four years after admission to candidacy. Doctoral degrees must be completed within seven (7) years from the student's original date of admission for doctoral study.

Are any of the courses online or taught on regional campuses?

The doctoral program is offered on the Tampa campus only. There is the possibility of taking a few foundations courses online.

How much does the program cost?

Are there scholarships or financial aid available?

Yes. The 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 and the College of Education, as well as many independent organizations, offer scholarships and fellowships.

Within the Elementary Education Program, we offer doctoral student assistantships. Graduate assistants teach courses and supervise preservice teachers within the elementary education programs. When should I apply?

Students are admitted into the program in the fall, spring, and summer. Leare more about our priority application deadlines . 

What happens after I apply?

When an application file is complete, applicants who meet the academic criteria will be invited to interview with the Admissions Committee.
