Student Involvement and Professional Development
E-Council
Established in 2015 by Dean Robert Bishop, the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Engineering Council is the governing body for all engineering clubs formed to promote interest in various engineering areas. Benefits include connecting with industry leaders, access to conferences, networking opportunities, inquiries about engineering organizations and professional development.

Connecting with Industry
Information Sessions
Employers schedule information sessions within the College of Engineering to talk about their company and engage in possible recruitment for internships, co-ops or full-time positions. The sessions are typically held throughout the academic year at 5:30 p.m. in CUTR 102.
Employers may set up a table in the Hall of Flags or ENB building to meet students, discuss interest in working for the company and accept resumes.
All information sessions are promoted through the Engineering Undergraduate and Graduate Canvas pages.

аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢Careers offers two different career fairs per semester: one for technical professions and a second for non-technical professions. Details for both events can be found on the Career Services Events website.

Handshake is the online career management system for students at the University of South Florida. In addition to being the place where you can search and apply for internships, co-ops, and both part-time and full-time jobs, you can also use Handshake to:
- Upload a resume and complete your online career profile
- Allow your online career profile and resume to be viewable by employers
- Keep track of your appointments with Career Services in one location
- Learn which employers are attending upcoming Career & Internship Fairs
- View upcoming local and on-campus career events
- Research contact information for local and national employers
- Search for and apply to open positions
This platform allows you to research companies’ profiles to find out more about them, potential opportunities and/or professional development programs.
