Aquatics

Lifeguard

Job Description:  Maintain facilities and ensure the safety of participants at our two pools: an 8-lane indoor lap pool (REC) and our outdoor leisure pool (FIT).  Assist with helping participants and grow their knowledge of water safety, swimming knowledge, and pool etiquette. Create and maintain a clean, aquatic environment.

Requirements:  American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.

Swim Instructor

Job Description:  Teach private, semi-private, and group lessons to people of all ages and backgrounds. We offer classes for all levels of skill and experience:  mothers and babies (> six months), new independent swimmers, and more advanced swimmers looking to build endurance and strength.

Requirements:  American Red Cross Lifeguard certification

Facility Staff

Job Description:  Part of our large team who manages access and safety at the Campus Recreation Center, Fit, and WELL Fitness Center. Will grow the following skills:  problem-solving, service, conflict management, and leadership.

Requirements:  American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification (able to obtain after being hired).

Special Events Staff

Job Description: The Special Events Staff position includes supervising and participating in the set-up and take-down of special events programmed through Campus Recreation. Staff members will also serve as the onsite contact for host of all special events programmed through Campus Recreation and as onsite contact with Public Safety, Emergency responders, facility staff, event organizers, and custodial staff to ensure effective and professional event management, along with other duties.

Personal Trainer

Job Description:  This position is responsible for conducting individualized fitness assessments and designing safe, effective exercise programs for members of RecWell

Requirements:  Any nationally accredited PT certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA), CPR/AED Certification

Group Fitness Instructor

Job Description:  This position is responsible teaching in person and/or virtual group fitness classes to the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息community.

Requirements:  Primary Group Fitness Certification required through ACE, NASM, AFFA. or Specialty Certification ex: Zumba, 200 Yoga RYT, Pilates, BARRE, Boxing, Schwinn Cycle, etc.

Sports Programs & Esports

Intramural Sports Officials

Job Description:  Our officials will learn the mechanics, rules, and policies of the Intramural Sports version of various sports and officiate games fairly and adequately.

Requirements:  Sports that are officiated on campus: 6v6 Soccer, 8v8 Soccer, 6v6 Volleyball, Slow-Pitch Softball, 7v7 Flag Football, 5v5 Basketball.

Sports Programs Supervisor

Job Description:  Our Sports Programs supervisors will administer nightly Intramural programming, monitor & support sport club practices & competitions, and enforce policies during open recreation at the outdoor field complexes.

Requirements:  None: CPR/AED certification upon start.

Esports Supervisor

Job Description:  Our student moderators are expected to monitor our Discord, engage with students in our Discord, help with intramural leagues, play various video games with our student body, and work various shifts. Shifts include stream production, casting, Twitch chat moderation, as well as clipping and uploading content through various channels.

Requirements:  Preferred experience with Discord, Twitch, and stream production.

Membership Services & Marketing

Membership Services Office Assistant

The Membership Services Office Assistant is primarily responsible for selling memberships to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息affiliates and community members, as well as answering and directing phone calls for Campus Recreation. This position reports to the Membership Services Coordinator and may assist with other office management duties and tasks as needed.

Marketing Program Assistant

Job Description:  This position is responsible for the communication of RecWell programs and initiatives to students and members.  You will design, build, and distribute creative across social media platforms, websites, and our physical locations.

Requirements:  Deep understanding of social media platforms combined with a cursory knowledge of Adobe Spark and/or Canva.  Bonus points for other creative skills, such as photography, videography, and graphic design.

Outdoor Recreation

Challenge Course Facilitator

Job Description: The Challenge Course Facilitator position is responsible for instructing groups through teambuilding activities and to implement proper safety protocols on a 50-foot challenge course. The Challenge Course Facilitator position is an 鈥渆ntry level鈥 position into Recreation & Wellness' Challenge Course program, which takes students through a teambuilding program where they can learn trust, communication, problem solving, leadership, bonding, and healthy risk taking. Expected hours are <10 per week.

Requirements: Willingness to climb at heights of 15-50ft, ability to lift at least 50lbs, and CPR/AED certification upon start.

Adventure Trip Staff

Job Description:  Responsible for planning and facilitating adventure trip programs, which includes taking groups on various outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, paddle boarding, or biking. The Trip Staff position is an entry level position into the Adventure Trips program, intended to be a learning position for staff to gain necessary experience to successfully transition into the Trip Leader position. Expected hours are <10 per week, though there may be opportunities for more hours at the Outdoor Resource Center and Riverfront Park Boathouse.

Requirements:  US driver鈥檚 license. Some outdoor experience is preferred. CPR/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer and Driving Record Check completed upon start.
