CSE Professor Katkoori and his MS student, Raaga Sai Somesula, have received The Outstanding Thesis and Dissertation (OTD) Award for Raaga鈥檚 Master鈥檚 thesis work on a resource-efficient custom hardware for machine learning models.

NSF Grant Awarded to Dr. Yavuz of USF鈥檚 Engineering Computer Science Department for SATUQ Project
Dr. Attila A. Yavuz of USF鈥檚 Computer Science and Engineering Department has been awarded a $364,117 NSF grant to advance cybersecurity for integrated satellite-terrestrial networks. His SATUQ project focuses on quantum-resistant cryptography and decentralized security to safeguard critical infrastructure and emerging tech like 6G.
Dr. Yucelen Recognized as Highly Ranked Scholar & Top Cited Scientist in 2024
Dr. Tansel Yucelen, associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at (USF) was named a Highly Ranked Scholar by ScholarGPS, ranking third in Adaptive Control and 154th in Control Theory, and has also been recognized as one of the top 2% of the most cited scientists worldwide in Stanford/Elsevier's annual citation ranking.
